PMRC Forum at Mining Philippines: Well Attended

A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Philippine Mineral Reporting Code (PMRC) & Its Relevance to the Philippine Minerals Industry was jointly undertaken by the Philippine Mineral Reporting Code Committee (PMRCC) and Chamber of Mines of the Philippines (COMP) from 10AM - 12NN on the first day of Mining Philippines 2019 at the Sulu Room of Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last September 10, 2019.


The discussion was well attended with approximately 65 participants present. The participants are mostly from the COMP. The rest consisted from other sectors of the mining industry, as follows - Academe, Accountants, Competent Persons (CPs), MGB officers and technical people of other companies.


The program started with a welcome, introduction of meeting attendees and and a brief history of the PMRCC by Atty. Dennis Quintero of the Philippine-Australia Business Council (PABC). Engr. Ramon Santos, Geologist CP, discussed basics of the PMRC 2007 while Engr. Juancho Pablo Calvez, Metallurgical Engineer CP, discussed the PMRCC role and composition. Mr. George Baquiran, Geologist CP, examined the CRIRSCO & International Reporting Codes while Mr. Joey Nelson Ayson of PMEA and Geologist CP presented PMRC: Updates & Relevance to the Minerals Industry. Engr. Roger De Dios, Mining Engineer CP, conducted the informative open forum. Atty. Dennis Quintero thanked the participants and closed the program.

PMRC Committee holds first meeting of the year





January 30, 2019



The PMRC Committee meets for the 1st time in 2019 at the Philippine Stock Exchange, Bonifacio Global City. In this meeting, the committee unanimously resolved to apply for membership in the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO).
